Home access to the following databases requires the student to be logged onto the school ClassLink system. High School students need to log-on using their student ID number and password.

DESTINY LIBRARY CATALOG

EBSCO

Ebsco provides online newspaper, magazine and journal articles. It has features for searching and retrieving information and provides links to full text articles in other databases.

FACTS ON FILE

An excellent source for science, American and Ancient history, world atlas, health reference center, career guidance, curriculum resources and the new Blooms' Literary Reference database.

GALE DATABASES

This collection includes Contemporary Literary Criticism Select (extensive collection of critical essays on authors), Discovering Collection (in-depth reference content for the core curriculum areas of Literature, History, Biography, Science, and Social Studies), Opposing Viewpoints (information on social issues), Custom Newspapers, Literature Resource Center (biographies, bibliographies and critical analysis of works), and Informe (a spanish information database). There is an added resource entitled the Gale Virtual Reference Library, which is comprised of on-line editions of some of our reference collection including Americans at War, Animal Science, Dictionary of American History, Encyclopedia of Business and Finance, Encyclopedia of Clothing and Fashion, Encyclopedia of Crime and Justice, Encyclopedia of Food and Culture, Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. Economic History, and Plant Sciences. And the new addition -Global Issues in Context -offers international viewpoints on a broad spectrum of global issues, topics, and current events.

A comprehensive resource including 3,000+ author biographies; 40 searchable full-text literature journals; full-text literary works; and other key criticism and reference sources.

MARSHALL-CAVENDISH 

A database devoted to plants and animals. Through its unique presentation of the anatomy and physiology of a comprehensive range of life-forms, this extensively illustrated resource is the first of its kind developed specifically for student researchers.
