• We miss you all and want to see your bright and shining faces!  More important however, we want you to safe and healthy during these uncertain and trying times.  Here are some tips and resources to help you stay safe and sane!

  • Helpful Tips to Stay Safe During the Pandemic

    Stay active:

    Adequate sleep:

    • According to The National Institutes of Health (NIH): “Immune system activation alters sleep, and sleep in turn affects the innate and adaptive arm of our body's defense system.”

    Diet and nutrition:

    • Avoid “emotional eating” due to stress.
    • Try to eat more dark, leafy greens, oranges, and tomatoes—even fresh herbs—as they are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and minerals.
    • Eat more whole nutritious foods instead of processed snacks or fast food.


    Healthcare maintenance:

    • Be sure to take any prescribed medications as directed by your health care provider.
    • Chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and many others should be kept in check with your healthcare provider, as they may increase your risk of getting sick.
    • Reach out to your doctor with any medical concerns.
      • Telehealth appointments are available to discuss any health concerns related and/or unrelated to COVID-19.

    • Positively cope with stress and anxiety.

      • Talk to a mental health professional

    Stay connected:

    • Talk with loved ones while in isolation.
    • Utilize technology and apps (many free) that can help you stay in touch with those you love.
