Mrs. Kathleen Mihalko
Welcome to Monmouth Regional High School and the Assistant Principal's Office. Mrs. Mihalko has been at Monmouth Regional High School for approximately 24 years. Throughout that time, she has served as a US History, Economics and Special Education teacher. She was Co-Chair for the Middle States Committee in 2005. She became Assistant Principal in 2006 and is also the Supervisor for the Media Center, Music and Applied Technology Departments. Additionally, she serves as the District HIB Coordinator and the District Homeless Liaison. She also runs Support the Troops and has run the Student Leaders Assistant Principals group. She coordinated the Rude Awakening Program from 2007-2019. Since 2023, the program was renamed: Pre-Prom Drug & Alcohol Awareness Program. Also,she has run the Cans for Costumes yearly fundraiser and this is coordinated to help bring Holiday Food Baskets to the needy.
For her undergraduate studies, she attended Drew University and Monmouth University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Thomas Edison State College. She holds a Master of Art in Teaching and a Master of Science in Administration from Monmouth University. She holds certifications as Teacher of Social Studies, Teacher of Elementary, Teacher of Handicapped, Supervisor Certification, Principal Certification as well as Superintendent Certification.
