Students at Philadelphia museum of art

AP Humanities students along with their teachers, Mrs. Haggerty and Mrs. Mitchell, enjoyed the day at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Their agenda for the day included a focus on exploring

"Double Consciousness and Our Aliveness" which refers to the themes of the current exhibition at the museum called "The Time Is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure.” This exhibit explores the complex experiences of black identity through the lens of "Double Consciousness" (a psychological concept by W.E.B Du Bois) and celebrates Black community and presence through "Our Aliveness.".
