ASL group at Kean University

Monmouth Regional students were invited to Kean University’s first American Sign Language (ASL) Symposium on campus Wednesday. Our students joined other New Jersey high schools that offer ASL as a global language. Over 200 students from seven high schools across the state came to bridge the communication gap between the deaf and hard of hearing community and the rest of the hearing world. Special thanks to teacher, Cristen Gallin for partnering with Kean University and offering this opportunity to our students. (Mrs. Gallin’s interview and some of our students can be seen in the university’s Insta repost)
